The Smart Hardwire Kit: Elevating Your Dash Cam Experience
Advanced Parking Mode: Safeguarding Your Vehicle The Advanced Parking Mode of this kit is designed to protect your car even when the ignition is turned off. Its key features include:
G Sensor: The gravity sensor captures any impacts caused to the vehicle, such as hit-and-run incidents, while you are away. Energy Saving in Parking Mode: This feature extends the coverage duration exponentially by keeping the dash cam in a power-saving mode during inactivity. The dash cam enters a Sleep Mode and instantly Wakes Up when an impact is detected, safely recording and storing the next 20 seconds. Time Lapse: This unique Parking Mode feature is perfect for dash cams with smaller SD cards. Time Lapse records footage at a lower frame rate, reducing video size to cover a longer period of surveillance.
Technical Specifications Connector: Mini USB Input Voltage: DC 12V-24V Output Voltage: 5V Working Temperature: -22°F to 167°F (-30°C to 75°C) Cable Length: 13ft Low Voltage Protection: 11.6V for 12V vehicle
Installation Instructions 1. Find the Correct Fuse Slot Locate the car fuse box, referring to your car's manual. Open the fuse box and find the correct fuse slot for your hardwire kit. If you need to find an ignition-switched fuse, put the key in the vehicle, find the fuse that is not lit up while the car is off, and test it by turning the car on to see if it lights up. If your kit requires constant power, turn off the car and remove the key to see which fuse slots stay lit on.
Connect the Red Wire The hardwire kit comes with a 15A Mini type fuse. Plug the red wire fuse connector into the switched fuse box in the correct orientation.
Connect the Yellow Wire Plug the yellow wire fuse connector into the hot fuse box in the correct orientation.
Ground the Hardwiring Kit Slip the black wire (which is in the shape of a C) under a metal bolt or screw in your vehicle (this is the ground wire). Check that it is not attached to plastic parts. You will typically need a socket wrench to loosen the nut or bolt that you choose to ground with. To attach the grounding terminal, loosen the nut or bolt enough to slip it in and tighten it back up afterwards.
Main Features 24/7 Parking Surveillance: Connect the kit directly to the battery for constant 24-hour, 7-day power to protect against theft when your car is in the parking lot. Or connect it directly to the ignition wire for power that turns on and off with the ignition.
Low Voltage Protection: The smart low voltage protection automatically shuts off the power to your dash cam when the battery voltage drops to 11.6V, preventing it from draining the battery.
Compatible with 12 – 24V Vehicles: This smart hardwire kit accepts voltage from any type of vehicles running on 12 – 24V, making it perfect for cars, trucks, buses, SUVs, or big rigs for continuous power.
Compatible Models: V1-4K, V1P, V1P Pro, V2 Pro, V3, S1
